Small grain drier must satisfy all requirements, which are set for large crossflow grain dryers. Specially, it is necessary to pay attention on three basic points: specific consumption of thermal energy must be lower than 4200 kJ/kg of evaporated water, uniform grain moisture content at the exit from drier and the possibility of different efficiency drier selection (1-5 t/h). Technical solution, which satisfies these requirements, was developed at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad (Yugoslavia), in the Institute of Agricultural Engineering.
