Infestation with nematode larves, which morphologically are referred to Eustrongylides excisus (Jagerskiold, 1909) was established for the first time in Porca Fluviatilis and Stizostedion Lucioperca. The nematode larves are located in the digestive system and under tunica serosa of the swimming bladder. The larves are mostly spirally rolled into connective tissue capsules, situated deeply in the liver and abdominal muscles, and cause inflammation, haemorrhages, degenerative and structural alterations.
