The effects of fluoride and nitrates [ Ca(NO3)2, Sr(NO3)2 and NaNO3 + KNO3] on the activity of blood plasma and endoplasmic reticulum located enzymes were examined. The xenobiotics (XB) were included into the food of rayts separately or in combinations. It was shown that nitrates inhibited glucose-6-phosphates and activated aniline hydroxilase (AH). No changes in the AH activity occurred after a concomitant administration of fluride together with NaNO3 = KNO3 combination. The mixture of NaNO3 = KNO3 had capacity to stimulate lipid peroxidation. An opposite effect was found for Ca(NO3)2 and Sr(NO3)2. The XB examined and the high protein diet (HPD) induced changes in the blood aspartate aminotransferase activity. Sr(NO3)2 and HPD caused significant increase of this activity.
