The investigation has been carried out on chromic luvisol in the experimerntal field for erosion control near Suhodol, Sofia region, within the framework of two field experiments. In the first one on five stages of soil erosion, the economic efficiency of eight crops is studied. In the second experiment the effect of mineral and organic fertilization in three field crop-rotation (wheat-maize-alfalfa) is investigated. The results show that the rye, bur reed and trefoil are most suitable for growth on eroded lands. The greatest effect on crop yields has the independent fertilizer. The organic fertilizer increases the humus content and the quantity of erosion stable aggregates 1mm.
