Immunoglobulin G (IgG) subclass (IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4) responses to the beta-lactoglobulin A, B and C variants were investigated in normal and diabetic humans. There was a more marked response with IgG1 and IgG3 to the beta-lactoglobulin C variant than the beta-lactoglobulin A and B variants. No differences in the IgG subclass responses to beta-Lg variants between normal and diabetic humans were observed.
