Jaervis, T. | Miller, I. (Estonian Agricultural University, Tartu (Estonia))
Racoon dogs, red foxes and wolves were frequently invaded with Trichinella spp. The prevalence of the invasion was 83,3 per cent, 83,3 per cent and 66,7 per cent accordingly. The intensity of invasion was the biggest in the domestic cat (88 larvae/g), red fox (54 larvae/g) and brown rat (50 larvae/g). One raccoon dog and one red fox had a double infection with T. nativa and T.britovi. T.spiralis has been found in blue foxes and brown rat in a fur-bearing animal farm. T.britovi has been diagnosed in domestic pig. Most of the animals invaded with T.britovi were located to the west of the isotherm -4 deg C in January. Near the isotherm -5 deg C in January both T.nativa and T.britovi were found. Near the isotherm -6 deg C in January only T.nativa appeared
