Development of the settlements, tourism and recreation connected with the building of water structures on Dunajec river in Czorsztyn area threatened the future of exceptional natural values of Pieniny National Park. Paper analysed the effects of social and technical infrastructure on the state and development of protected area. Investigations covered: sewerage system, water mains, power grid, tourist facilities, fire-control equipment, exhibition sites etc., which take vital part in protecting the resources of Pieniny area and contribute to its further development without degradation of natural landscape
