[Polyfactorial trials with sugar beet]

Seven sugar beet varieties were compared in field trials on two sites in three years. The results of yield, sugar content, recovery of white sugar and production of white sugar were statistical processed. It was ascertained that all parameters were most influenced by years. Sugar content and recovery of white sugar were influenced approximately in the same measure by site (16.36% and 19.33%, respectively) and by variety (15.93% and 20.30%, respectively) and production of white sugar was influenced by site (33.91%) and by variety (13.82%). Observed varieties can be classified as yielding and sugar types
