A comparative study on the protein quality of cake and meal from double low rapeseed

The quality of protein in double low rapeseed meal and cake was determined by chemical and biological tests conducted on rats. Rapeseed feeds were also compared with soybean meal. Amino acid content and protein nutritive value, determined chemically, were more favourable in rapeseed cake than in double low rapeseed meal. Nutritive value and protein digestibility in the rapeseed feeds under study as determined by tests on rats were similar. Nutritive value of protein was comparable to that in soybean meal
