Mungbean has been introduced for planting in paddy rice field before or after planting rice in Ayutthaya province. However, the main problem found is its low yield. The purpose of this comparison was finding out the most appropriate lines for planting in this area from 14 lines varieties of mungbean. The Randomized Complete Block Design was used. VC 2745-77 and SAY-36-2 yielded the most number of 113.20 and 108.16 kg/rai respectively. SAY-36-3, SAY-36-7 and VC 2745-77 had slightly short maturity period with the same date 61.00 days after planting. SAY-36-5 and SAY-36-4 yielded the highest number of pods/plant, 17.15 and 15.00. However, the seed weight/plant of all lines was not significantly different. The highest weight of 1,000 seeds of CN-36 and SAY-36-3 was 74.35 and 68.03 grams, respectively.
