Eggs and spawners of big fin squid, Sepioteuthis lessoniana, and pharaoh cuttlefish, Sepia pharaonis were collected from natural waters for hatching during fiscal year 1990-1992. Seeds were released into Rayong province waters. Total production was 1.46 million seeds in 1990, 1.70 millions in 1991 and 3.20 millions in 1992. Production capacity depended on quality of eggs, quantity of eggs and spawners supplied, management of supplier and hatchery capacity and management. Unit cost of production was 0.036 baht/ind. for squid and 0.135 baht/ind. for cuttlefish.
