Effects of rumensin on weight gain and some blood parameters in fattening cattle

In the research, 28 young male bulls weighed average 340.9 kg were used. Bulls were divided into two groups, each of had 8 Holstein and 6 Brown Swiss. Fattening trial were consisted of adaptation period of 15 days and experimental period of 51 days. All of the bulls were fed on commercial concentrate and wheat straw as ad libitum. However, concentrate of the test group contained monensin in dose of 25 ppm
