Effect of different sowing dates and plant spacing on plant growth and yield of some lettuce cultivars

Present studies were carried out of Dept. of Horticulture, Fac. of Agric., Ege University, during 1976-1997. This research was aimed to find out suitable sowing date and plant spacing for obtaining profitable production of lettuce cvs. Saladin and Arapsaci. Seed of cvs. Saladin and Arapsaci were sown into the trays at four different dates and the seedlings were than shifted to the container. After attaining suitable size seedlings were trnasplanted to the field at 10 different plant spacing
