Investigation of anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies in pigeons (Columba sp.) by Sabin-Feldman dye test

This study was carried out on the pigeons (Columba sp.) which were catched in Manisa and its near settlements-Akhisar, Muradiye and Saruhanli and Izmir-Kemalpasa between November 1995 and March 1996. Anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies were detected by Sabin-Feldman dye test from the sera collected from 231 pigeons (97 from Izmir and 134 from Manisa). Two pigeons found in the center of Manisa and one pigeon in Izmir, in 1/16 titer positive results were obtained
