The author discovered that acidophilus community of beech on the Mt. Jadovnik in west Bosnia (Bosnia and Herzegovina) differs significantly, from ecological and floristic aspects, from all varieties of the ass. Luzulo-Fagetum Meusel 1937, previously described in different regions of Bosnia. Consequently, it was designated and described as a new geographic variety of this plant community, under the name: ass. Luzulo-Fagetum var. geogr. Sesleria autumnalis.
