In vitro propagation of spotted Gentiana gentiana punctata L.

Shoot cultures of Gentiana punctata L. were established from epicotyls of aseptical germinated embryos. Medium used for prolonged maintenance of shoot cultures contained WPM (1981) inorganic salts and 0.25 mg/L BA and 0.1 mg/L IAA. Best rooting results were obtained using a 7 day exposure to medium with 2.0 mg/L IBA with transfer to hormone - free stationary liquid medium.
