Colorimetric and electrometric determining of the content of fluor in mineral feedstuffs

The paper presents the results obtained by testing the specific ion electrode method for measuring the fluoride content, and comparison with the results obtained by ISO (Ref. No. 3360) colorimetric method. The obtained results indicate that the electrochemical determination of the content of fluorine ions utilizing an ion selective electrode, can be successfully applied on analyzing samples of phosphate mineral feedstuffs. It can be concluded that the determination of fluorine ion content via direct potentiometry can be characterized as simple and quick to perform, the method is precise and specific and high sensitive.
