The trials were established on the experimental field near Tartu, on Podzoluvisols. The purpose was to find out the influence of fertilisers on field grass (timoty+red clover) yield and forage quality during two years. In the mixtures were used: red clover variety 'Jogeva 205' 12 kg ha (-1) and timothy variety 'Tia' 8 kg ha (-1). The total production of dry matter yield over 2 years (12,6...20,3 t ha (-1)) depended on fertilizer treatment. The highest dry matter (DM) yield was obtained, if the micronutrients such as zink, boron, cobalt and molybdenum were applied (PD sub(05)=0,6 t ha -1). The results indicated that crude protein total yield of 1959 kg ha (-1) (over 2 years) was obtained with PK fertilisation. Additionally microfertilizers gave extra yield in the first year 585...1142 kg ha (-1) and in the second year 121...339 kg ha (-1). In the first harvest year the co-influence of zink, boron, cobalt and molybdenum fertilisers increased the crude protein yield of field grass. In the second harvest year the co-influence of copper, boron, cobalt and molybdenum showed the same results. The weak effects are obtained on the treatments where only boron, selenium and together cobalt and molybdenum were used. For the increasing the DM yield of field grass several microfertilisers should be used. According to experiment results, those elements are copper, boron, cobalt and molybdenum
