Foliar nutrition of potato crops

Results of field experiments with foliar nutrition of potato plants were presented. Urea solutions of 4, 8 and 12% nitrogen concentration, containing also some microelements, were sprayed on potato foliage at different stages of plant maturity in comparison to traditional fertilization as control. As a result of threefold foliar spraying with 8% urea solution applied at developed aboveground parts, closure of the inter-rows and berry formation, the yield of potato tubers increased by 12.79% at better structure of yielded tubers and starch content higher by 2.4%, as compared to control traditional fertilization
