The analysis of changes of daily yield and composition of milk in cows of various genotypes, kept on 70 randomly selected private farms in Lublin region (Poland) was performed. It was showed that the cows of 25-50 percent HF had the highest daily yield (17.6 kg, on average): 18.3-19.2 kg in the 2nd to 4th lactation. The yields are decreasing during successive periods of lactation and the highest fall (between the 1-st and 10-th months of lactation (53 percent) was recorded in crossbreds with more than 50 HF. A greater share of HF blood also manifested itself in a lower protein content and higher fat content. Significant differences of daily yield of milk and its composition were stated in daughters of different bulls. Taking no account of the genotype and the sires origin, the highest yield was recorded in cows in the second and third lactation
