Phenotypical variation of pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) and tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum P. Mill.) twin forms

The present research involved the seeds of the F2 hybrid generation of pepper and tomato and defined the frequency of natural polyembryony in both species. In the pepper cultivars, "Blondy F1", "Oasis F1", "Stanola F1" and "Suzan F1", multiembryo seeds were identified; their occurrence ferquency ranged from 0.12 to 0.42 percent, while respective values calculated for tomato cultivars "Billy F1", "Candela F1", "Carpy F1" and "Natali F1", from 0.01 to 0.07 percent. No haploid forms were observed
