30 percentage steamed-potato silage in the ration decreased the body weight of 14-week-old Rhine ganders and geese by 482 and 199 g and, following oats fattening, by 325 and 264 g, respectively, against the control. There was observed a negative effect of the silage on the slaughter yielding and carcass meatiness in birds of neither sex. In male carcasses, only, the content of skin with substaneous fat decreased by 33.4 precentage following rearing and by 4.5 percentage after fattening as compared with the control group. A negative effect of 10 and 20 steamed-potato silage content in the diet was observed neither on fattening results in male and female geese nor on slaughter yielding and carcass meatiness
