Characteristization of milk yield of Slovak Pied cows in relation to genotypes of kapa-casein gene

The authors determined kapa-CN gene genotypes in Slovak Pied cows using PCR-RFLP method. The cows had closed second lactation and were randomly selected. We found out that 6 cows have AA, 35 AB and 25 BB genotype. One way variance and analyses resulted in fact that besides statistically sigficant differences in protein content between AB an BB kapa-CN genotypes (3.28_ - AB, 3.39% - BB) there were no statistically significant differences in other examined traits
