In the study the author explains the approach he used for the proposal of modified tool of agricultural support policy - direct payments aimed to compensation of revenue detriment of farmers which they suffer owing to worse market conditions during the economical reform. By the statistical figures from the years 1995-1997 the author shows that in present day valid input subsidies are not effective for operational input growth but they have influence on their price development. By this fact the part of these public source form over to input sectors. The suggested non-specific general compensation payments should reconcile these negatives
