The competitiveness and its perspectives from integration processes point of view

The document establishes on results of the research report "Actualisation and precision of implications resulting from the accession into the EU for the Slovak agriculture". Future changes are waited in connection of integrated efforts. These changes and press on the subsidies growth of significantly increase demands for decision making processes and approaches to the agrarian politics problems solution. Successful integration of the Slovak agro-food sector is closely connected with the level of its actual and pre-entering competitiveness. Analysis points to the gradual deteriorating of our position in comparison to the V4 countries. Mainly the animal production disposes of the very low comparative advantages in the production sphere. In actual structure it is not able for long time to resist a competition of more paying production in the V4. Deformation caused by direct payments is not decisive for domestic production factors, which are granted mainly in the form of direct payments per area. But it is forced by deformations of other agricultural politics instruments and of not suitably going trade till today. In the present it is dominated social, but also "per client" orientation of production subsidy, which is the result of done agricultural transformation
