The influence of preparate Rastim 30-DKV on the endogenous cytokinins, yield and technological parameters of the sugar beet were studied in the vegetation and small plot trials. Rastim 30-DKV is a plant growth regulator with a wide spectrum of biological effect. Its effective substance is 3-(benzyloxycarbonyl-methyl) benzothiazolinone-2-on. The preparate was applied to sugar beet (Beta vulgaris, cv. Intera) in two phenophases of growing - in the stage 6-7 couples of true leaves (in 300 ml ratio), and in the stage of the technological ripening, it means 4-6 weeks before gathering (in 180 ml ration), in the applied volume of 500-600 l. per ha. The effects of preparation were evaluated on yield, sucrose, raphinades, and sodium, potassium and alpha-amino-nitrogen content. The content of endogenous cytokinins was determined in the leaves and roots. For determination of endogenous cytokinins TLS with bioassay, GLC and HPLC were used. The application of Rastim 30-DKV to the leaves causes an increase in yield and sucrose, as well as the highest content of the endogenous cytokinins in the leaves and above all in the roots of the sugar beet. It was found that the higher yield and sucrose content is in correlation with the increased content and activity of the endogenous cytokinins. The increased occurrence of zeatin glucoside is apparently responsible for higher content of sucrose in sugar beet roots
