Soil water research of the forest stand in the relation to atmospheric precipitations

Hydropedological research in the oak forest stand (the 1st forest altitudinal vegetation zone) in Cifare has been performed since 1980. Soil moisture regime was observed in the relation to individual incoming and outcoming water balance compounds. In this paper the main attention is paid to the influence of atmospheric precipitation on the moisture regime and dynamics in the soil physiological profile. Individual areas of physiologically available water for plants were characterized using soil hydrolimits. The ecological classification of soil water regime was also characterized according to the soil profile moisture content, duration of moisture state and moisture stratification
