Technology application for mango production of farmers in Amphoe Bangkla Changwat Chachoengsao

Objectives of this research was to study technology application to Mango production of farmers socio-economic factors, including factors problem and recommendation. The population in this study consisted of 220 mango grower in Amphoe Bangkla, Changwat Chachoeng-sao. The data were sellected by interview 220 sample of mango grower and then analyzed statistically interms of percentage arithmetic means and chi-square. 74.1 percent of the farmers were male with an average of 48.5 years old and completed their compulsory education (an education of pratom 4). Their main occupations were fruit growing and secondary occupations were animal raising, fishery, vegetable growing, field crop growing, employed worker and grocer. The everage farm holding and own mango planted area as well as yield were 37.8 rais 21.2 rai/family and 488.7 kilogram/rai, respectively. The everage farm income was 244.656.60 bath. Most of farmer (68.6 percent) were the members of farmer's institution, particulary Bank of Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperative (BAAC) 91.4 percent contacted extension worker when they have problems. The result of hypothesis testing indicated that age, education, income, number of farm family labour size of planted area, contact with extention workers and membership of farmer's institution were significantly related with the application of mango production in terms of pest control, land preparation, flowering control, application of inputs for soil improvement, weed control, eradication, prunning and grading.
