Some hematologic parameters in force feeded geese

This study has been conducted in order to compare the live weight and blood values of domestic and Romanov goose breeds after force feeding. In this study, 12 domestic and 12 Romanov breed of adult male geese were used. The research lasted 35 days and 530 g feed/day was used per goose. At the beginning and end of feeding process, blood samples were taken from vena cutanea ulnaris and erythrocyte, leucocyte counts, erythrocyte sedimentation rates, hematocrit values and differential leucocyte counts were determined. The live weights of the experimented geese were determined at the beginning and end of feeding process
