Determination of pesticide residues in soybean was investigated. Ninety samples were collected from various market places in Thailand, (30 from the Northern, 25 from the Central, and 35 from the Northeastern). Based on organochlorine residues analysis, most of soybean samples were contaminated with gamma-BHC, endrin, heptachlor and DDT. The detected amounts were 50, 3.33, 28.89 and 5.55 percent, respectively. All organochlorine residues investigated were less than the maximum residue limits (MRL).
