Surt clam (Paphia undulata Born) around Ko Ang Thong, Suratthani province were found two large habitat areas, near Ko Ang Thong and between Chong Ang Thong-Pa Ngan. In the area near Ko Ang Thong, the average density was 10,814 kg/square km. The highest density was 36,285 kg/square km. The average size of the clam in this area was 3.5 cm, the average width of the clam was 1.0 cm, and the number per kilogram was 144-359, the average was 252. The estimate biomass of this area was 445,073 kilograms. In the area between Chong Ang Thong-Pa Ngan, the average density was 30,736 kg/square km. The size of the clam in this area was 3.8 cm. The average width of the clam was 1.1 cm. The number per kilogram was 136-230, the average was 161. The estimate biomass of this area was 1,370,480 kilograms. The distribution of the clam was along and near ko Ang Thong except in Chong Ang Thong-Pa Ngan, this area was abundanced in the middle between Ko Ang Thong and Ko Pa Ngan. The salinity of sea water was 34-35 ppt, DO was 6.8-8.2 mg/l. Sea water surface temperature was 30.2-31.0 deg C, pH was 7.9-8.3. Nitrite was 0-0.029 mg/l. Nitrate was 0-1.217 mg/l. Ammonia and Phosphate were 0 mg/l. The average of suspended solid was 25.5 mg/l.
