In the investigations of quality of pellets produced with binding agent based on collagen hydrolizate in comparison to pellets produced with binding agents of lignocellulosic and synthetic origin, it has been found out that the agent based on collagen hydrolizate: enables the production of better quality pelleted feed with lower pellets rubbing and higher water absorption capacity; contributes to higher content of crude proteins and arginine and glycine that are very important for intensive broiler fattenin, lysine and methionine are also increased, but to a lower extent; induces higher consumption of pelleted feed and its better utilization as well as higher growth rate. On the basis of these results it has been concluded that binding agent based on collagen hydrolizate upgrades the feed mixture for broiler feeding.
