Results of performance tested boars at the performance test station PKB INI Agroekonomik [Serbia, Yugoslavia]

The estimate of breeding value of boars were tested at the Performance Test Station PKB INI Agroekonomik, Serbia (Yugoslavia). The investigation was carried out on the sample of 485 boars in the period from 1997 to 1999. On the basis of the obtained results we established: age 181.09 days, body weight 102.92 kg, daily gain 0.846 kg, feed conversion 2.743 kg and lean meat content 55.79%. Interaction between year and breed was significant on the age (P0.01), daily gain (P0.05). As we can saw the lean content was declined in the investigated period, because we had not any import of quality boars.
