Sahelian goats have a good predisposition for a high quality chevon meat and like Boer goat they might participate in a creation of specific landscape management-meat producing goat type fitting into extreme pastoral conditions (dry non-cultivated public lands etc.). The paper presents the whole group of Sahelian goats with size, weight and growth parameters owing to the project of testing of Sahelian goats in European environment.
