Prevalent testing results of the decision support system "PC-P Diseases" control module in winter and spring wheat in Latvia

There had been observed increasing of infection with different diseases and use of fungicide as a result of wheat growing under intensive management regime in Latvia. Trials had been carried out for validation of the decision support system PC-P Diseases for using of reasonable, scientifically justified dosages of fungicides with sufficient efficacy in 1999. The model had been evaluated on spring and winter wheat. Lower doses of fungicide Tango Super in correlation with standard doses had been used. The development of diseases was similar in all variants with using of fungicide. The summer in 1999 was extremely hot and dry, therefore essential difference of yield hadn't observed between variants with fungicide, only in correlation control
