Effect of green manure crops to the growth and forming runners in strawberry

Increase of humus content in soil was ascertained when white mustard, white meliot, mixed crop or manure 100 t/ha and 50 t/ha was used in pre-planting fertilizing. At the same time, manure 100 t/ha was the best fertilizer for plant growth and runner forming. White melilot and white mustard gave the worst growth in 'Jonsok' and 'Bounty', whereas 'Honeoye' showed no significant differences between the variants. In shortage of manure, rye, vetch or mixed crop of oat and pea may be recommended
