Association between milk protein genotypes milk production and fertility in Hungarian Holstein Frisean, Hungarian Fleckvieh and Hungarofries herds
2000
Vági,J. | Baranyi,M.
Relationship between milk protein genotypes and milk production and fertility were investigated in one Hungarian Holstein (n=578), one Hungarian Fleckvieh (n=195) and two Hungarofries (n=161; 29) cow populations.Altogether 963 milk samples were typed for kazein and laktoglobulin genetic variants. The following milk production parameters were used: 305 days standard milk and protein production, for the determination of fertility, the time between first and second calvings and the Cow Utilisation Intensity Index (Vági, 1990) were applied.
