[The effect of second N fertilizing and the time of water flooding on the yield component of upland rice]

An experiment of N fertilization and flooding period was conducted in Polytechnic of Agriculture Farm, Lampung University, Bandar Lampung, from September 1995 to February 1996. The purpose of the experiment is to investigate the effect of the second N fertilization and time of flooding on yield component of gogorancah rice field. The experiment was factorially arranged in Completely Randomized Design with three replications. The first factor was time of N application (7, 9 and 11 days after planting), and the second factor was time of flooding (7, 9 and 11 days after planting). Data were analyzed with ANOVA and means difference with LSD's. The result showed that there was no interaction effect between the two factors tested on all variables observed. Time of N application on the 7th and 9th days after planting increase the number of productive tiller and paddy panicle number. Time of flooding on 11th days after planting decrease paddy panicle number
