An experiment to determine the response of corn cultivar and the effect of Urea application dose on Ostrinia furnacalis Guenee was carried out at the field of Agricultural Polytechnic, University of Lampung from December 1994 up to March 1995. The objective of the research is to find out resistance corn cultivars to stem borer (Ostrinia furnacalis Guenee) attack and urea application rate to reduce the insect attack. The field experiment consisted of 90 corn plots were factorially arranged (10 x 3) in a Completely Randomized Block Design with three replications. The first factor was ten corn cultivars (Pioneer-2, Pioneer-3, Pioneer-4, Pioneer-5, CPI-1, CPI-2, C-2, C-3, Arjuna Bisi, and Arjuna SHS). The second factor was three of urea fertilizer at rates of 80, 160 and 240 kg/ha. The result of the experiment showed that the Pioneer-5 cultivar was more resistance than CPI-1 cultivar to Ostrinia furnacalis Guenee attack. The Urea application rate affect significantly the Ostrinia furnacalis Guenee attack
