Swine manure applied with waste cooking oil became acidified by generation and accumulation of low molecule organic acids. Then the composting process of swine manure was depressed severely by the acidification. Acidification of livestock manure was often observed in the process of composting swine manure. The composting process of acidified swine manure was repaired by mixing calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and matured swine manure compost. The repairing effect of the matured compost was more available than CaCO3. The emission of ammonia depending on the composting of swine manure was also depressed by acidification. The concentration of emitted ammonia from the acidified swine manure was increased by mixing CaCO3 and the matured compost. But the maximum concentration of ammonia emitted from the acidified swine manure was lower than that of the ordinarily prepared swine manure compost. The period at which a high content of nitrogen remained in the compost was also longer than that of the the ordinarily prepared swine manure compost. Supplementation by CaCO3 or matured compost had little effect on the content of nitrogen in the acidified swine manure compost
