It was difficult to measure the soil-water content of the cultivation soil in the pot so far. We examined the way that damageless and periodically measured the amount of water of the compost in the pot using the Time Domain Reflectmetry technique (TDR) soil water meter. 1. The soil-water content of the compost which were the mixed with different rate between peat moss and perlite or paddy soil and leaf mold could be measured when we made an individual caribration curve. 2. A position of measurement and how to fill the pot with the compost influenced measurement value for the TDR soil water meter. So we had to pay attention to the way of filling the pot when we made an official caribration curves and compensation between each sensor was necessary. 3.
