Aflatoxin contamination of eleven samples of various peanut products (peanut brittle toffees and slabs; peanut butter and salted roasted peanuts) was assessed through (modified) Romer method. Aflatoxin contamination was detected in six of the eleven samples studied and five out of the six had aflatoxin contamination above the safe limit (5ug/kg) were found to be contaminated above the safe limit.
