[Relationship between the mineral composition of orange blossom and fruit quality]

Английский. We investigated whether floral analysis could be used to diagnose the nutritional status of citrus, and predict fruit quality. Flowers were collected in April 1996 from trees of Valencia Late (Citrus sinensis L. (Osb.), grafted in Citrange troyer), randomly selected in an orchard established on a calcareous soil. In February 1997 fruits were collected from the same trees. Fresh weight, diameter, total sugars content, and citric acid concentration were determined in these fruits. The concentrations of P, Mg, Cu, Fe and Mn in the flowers were correlated with fruit fresh weight and diameter. The concentrations of FE and Mn in the flowers were also correlated to the citric acid concentration in the fruits

Com o objectivo de estudar metodos de avaliacao do estado nutritivo realizou-se uma colheita de flores em Abril de 1996, em laranjeiras (Citrus sinensis L. (Osb.) var. Valencia Late enxertada em Citrange troyer) seleccionadas aleatoriamente num pomar instalado num solo calcario. Em Fevereiro do ano seguinte efectuou-se uma amostragem de frutos nas mesmas arvores, determinando-se o seu peso fresco, calibre, teor total de acucares e a concentracao de acido citrico. Os teores florais de P, Mg, Cu, Fe e Mn mostraram-se correlacionados com o peso fresco e o calibre do fruto, e as concentracoes de Fe e Mn nas flores estava correlacionado com a concentracao de acido citrico nos frutos
