Supportive decision making system for the classification of site suitability of tree species composition was created for the needs of operative evaluation of the data from forest ecology survey. Proposed solution on the basis of EMDS (Ecosystem Management Decision Support) software is based on object-oriented programming what enables comfortable construction of knowledge bases of former tree species composition in relation to the group of forest types and prospective tree species composition in relation to management set of forest types. By means of GIS technology the knowledge base is interconnected with geographic data, layer of the borders of the unit of area stand arrangement and database of data from the survey on forest ecology
