Survey on the status of quality and contaminations which including alfatoxins, Salmonella sp., antibiotics and beta-adrenergic agonists in animal feed and feedstuffs have been done by liturature surveying and interviewing of 45 pig farms, 20 layer farms, 2 broiler farms and 3 commercial feed mills all of which locating in Nakhon Pathom, Rachaburi, Chonburi, Chacheongsao, Nakhon Sawan, Chiang Mai, Khon Khaen, Ubol Rachathani, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, and Song Kla provinces. The result have indicated the high levels of aflatoxins contamination in corn and peanut meal and resulted in the high contents of aflatoxins contamination in corn and peanut meal and resulted in the high contents of aflatoxins in broilers, layers breeders and baby pig starter (birth-30 kg) feeds. The contaminated levels have caused some detrimental effects to the health of the animals. Salmonella sp. contamination was found at a level of 8.43 and 5.88 percent in 87 samples of fish meal and 17 samples of meat and bone meal collected in the study, respectively. There are the using of antibiotics, sulfamethazine and trimetroprim which is causing residues in the carcass and chloramphenical which is strictly prohibited, as for growth promotion, and for diseases protection and treatment in the pig feeds. Medication in broiler diets were also found but withdrawal was employed before marketing. However death chicken during the medication were sold for human consumption. In general, there is the uses of synthetic pigments in layer diets. Beta-adrenergic agonist was commonly employed in pig feeds in central and eastern parts of Thailand.
