The changes in free adenosine phosphates content and energy supply in winter wheat leaves are found to depend on the level of water supply, growth and developmental phases and plant's varietal peculiarities. Under conditions of prolonged drought the Donetska 48 wheat variety showed the greater content of adenosine-5-diphosphate, adenosine-5-triphosphate, and energy supply, than the Kyivska 7 wheat variety
