There were conducted examination of the composition of fatty acids in the oil of celandine seeds, produced by processes of pressing and extraction using petroleum ether and chloroform, gas chromatography. Gas-chromatographic analysis of fatty oil samples, has shown that they were completely identical in qualitative composition, and it was found that they mainly consisted of unsaturated fatty acids (86.66-91.45%), linoleic acid (69.66-74.29%) and oleic acid (16.57-17.16%). Considering saturated fatty acids, palmitic acid had the highest content (8.55-10.25%), while the amount of stearic acid was considerably lower (1.68-1.86%). The content of fatty oil, determined using extraction with petroleum ether and chloroform, was 47% and 48%, respectively.
