The current edition covers active ingredients and pesticide formulations for the application in agriculture and forestry registered in the F.R. of Yugoslavia until December 31, 1999. A total of 235 active ingredients, 84 combinations of two and more active ingredients and 675 registered preparations formulated from the active ingredients and combinations given, have been covered. One of the chapters gives the survey on pesticides the market registration of which has expired in Yugoslavia prior to the previous edition of the handbook. The major chapter is "A survey on Pesticides According to Use" which has been revised with respect to the previous edition and incorporates three subchapters (Zoocides; Fungicides and Bactericides; Herbicides and Plant Growth Regulators). The third part is novel to this publication. It is intended to assure easy and wide utility of data on the registered pesticides to be applied in orchards and vineyards, field crops, garden crops, hops, forestry and ornamental plants, button mushroom as well as non-agricultural land. In addition, growth stages have been given for every plant and crop and each group of plants and crops. The deal line for the application of pest control preparations has also been established. The publication contains the chapters "Poisoning, First Aid and Treatment" and "Regulations on Pesticides and Toxic Substances in Yugoslavia" too.
