By feeding on fish from fish ponds, ichthyophagous birds such as large cormorant, gray heron and small white heron, reduce the growth rate of fish, causing damage to the fish management as well. In digestive tract of the birds shot near the fish pond "Mosorin", Serbia (Yugoslavia), carp fish were dominant. Large cormorant causes the greatest damage in wintertime when open waters are frozen, while heron causes damage by feeding in the coastal area, eating one and two month old carp fry.
