Protection of natural values from degradation by elimination of poisonous compounds from process control of sugar production

In determination of sucrose content with polarimetric method in analytical control of process of sugar production, nonsucrose compounds are sedimented with addition of lead salts. Due to poisonous lead salts, it has to be found new compounds for sedimentation. In this paper there are defined conditions of sedimentation of nonsucrose compounds with aluminium-sulphate in sugar beet and molasses. In method of determination of sugar content in sugar beet, solution of lead-acetate could be changed with aluminium-sulphate solution of concentration of 0.3%. On determination of the same parameter in molasses instead of lead salts it could be used solution of aluminium-sulphate of concentration of 15% as a reagent for sedimentation.
